Field hockey places fourth at Seven Sisters Tournament
In the first day of the annual Seven Sister's Field Hockey Championship, the Pioneers defeated Vassar College 1-0 before falling to NEWMAC competitor Wheaton College 6-2.
In the third place game on Saturday, the Pioneers succumbed to NEWMAC opponent Mount Holyoke College 5-2. The loss inked the Pioneers with a fourth place finish out of an eight-squad championship. Smith is currently 1-3.
Skidmore stifles Smith soccer squad
In Saturday's home opener, the Pioneers fell to the Thoroughbreds of Skidmore College, 1-0. With the victory, the Thoroughbreds improve to 3-1-2. Smith is currently 2-2.
Tennis earns first win
In Saturday's NEWMAC contest, the Pioneers defeated the Babson College Beavers 5-4 to pick up their first overall and conference win of the season. With the victory, the Pioneers improve to 1-2 overall and 1-1 in the NEWMAC.
