Natalie Sullivan '07, a Women's Studies major from Aptos, California, is a senior co-captain for the Smith soccer team.

Do you have any superstitions or rituals that you do during or before games?
I have to eat a bagel on game day. Also, it's been a Smith soccer tradition that the Captain hands out stickers prior to each game. The stickers are for good luck. Each player places one wherever they feel suitable - on the sport bra, on the cleat, etc. It's a nice little tradition, very important for the success of the team.

What is your favorite sports team?
Smith soccer, clearly.

What do you see yourself doing ten years from now?
Climbing a large mountain.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I'd like to go to South Africa for the 2010 World Cup. And a lot of other places.

Name your top three favorite movies.
Shrek 2, Set It Off, Mifune.

What is your favorite athletic memory?
Last year's NEWMAC [quarterfinal game] versus Babson was pretty insane. As we stepped on to the field, the snow started to dump. It continued to snow throughout the whole game. Pretty soon the ball would collect snow as it rolled, ice would gather at the bottom of the cleat, when you slid, you slid about ten feet on the snow-covered field. The game went into double overtime. When we finally put a goal away with one minute remaining in the second overtime, [it put] us into the NEWMAC semifinals. It was cold, but quite memorable.

What is your favorite place on the Smith campus?
I like the trails behind the athletic fields. I also really enjoy Chapin lawn during lunch.
