This is a hard question to answer. No one memory stands out in my mind. In general, my favorite memories are when we get a "hands-in" after racing. All 50 of us crowd into a circle and yell "Smith Crew." That really does it for me.
What other activities or organizations are you involved with at Smith?
I'm in Orchestra and I play the French horn. I am an Education major, so I am student teaching this year as well. I taught sixth grade in the fall and I am now teaching first grade.
What do you see yourself doing in 10 years?
Definitely teaching. I'm hoping to go to Grad school in a couple years and get a degree in deaf education. Hopefully I'll be living back in Vermont in a nice old house in the woods.
If you could be someone else for one day, who would it be and why?
I would be a kid. Doesn't matter which one, as long they are having fun.
Do you have a favorite professional sports team?
The Red Sox. Through thick and thin.
What is your favorite book?
Right now, books by Howard Frank Mosher, especially "Disappearances."
What are your plans for this summer?
This summer I'm taking it easy before I start my first real teaching job in the fall in Boston. I'm going to be hiking the Long Trail for a month with my girlfriend. The rest of the time I'll be visiting friends, working for my Dad's carpentry business and being an innkeeper.
