In the article "2006-2007 Tuition Raise Causes Strife," it was incorrectly stated that "As for future enrollment, Smith College is expected to increase its number of students. According to [Dean of Enrollment Audrey] Smith, 'the college has experienced significant gains in applications in the past two years, as have other similarly priced colleges in our peer group.'" Smith makes the distinction: "While it is true that we have experienced significant gains in applications for the past two years, that does not mean that the College expects to increase the size of the student body. Smith does not plan to increase the number of students enrolled."
The Sophian regrets the error.

On page 8, Julia Reed was incorrectly identified as a Staff Writer; she is actually the Opinions Editor. Allie Ferrara was also incorrectly identified as Staff Writer; she is actually the Assistant Layout Editor.

The following explanation was inadvertently omitted from the end of the staff editorial:

The Staff Editorial represents the collective views of the Editorial Board of the Smith College Sophian, not the views of the entire staff of the Sophian, nor the views of the administration, faculty, staff, or students of the College. Each week, the authorship of this column alternates between members of the Editorial Board.

The photos of the Los Angeles immigration protest were incorrectly attributed to being courtesy of Veronica Ochoa. They are actually courtesy of indymedia.org. The Sophian regrets the error.
