Smith Professor Lectures at Mount Holyoke
On Thursday, March 7, at 4:30 p.m., Smith College Professor of Afro-American Studies Paula Giddings will give a talk entitled "Writing 'Race, Gender and Transnationalism' in Reactionary Times." Giddings hopes to have a dialogue with the audience regarding the challenges of the present period within the context of race, gender and transnationalism, the subtitle of the Meridians journal of which she is the incoming editor.
Staff Council Hosts Book, Movie and Music Exchange
Bring your books (no textbooks), CDs and movies to trade at the Fifth Annual Book, Movie & Music Exchange on Monday, March 21. This Staff Council-sponsored event will take place in Neilson Browsing Room from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 21. Drop off items for exchange from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, March 14, to Friday, March 18, in Neilson Browsing Room. Each item will be assigned a point value and you will receive a receipt indicating how much credit you have accumulated for the exchange.
