Smith Dems Host Liberal Date Auction

On Friday, February 11, the Smith Democrats, the Five College Democrats and the College Democrats of Massachusetts will hold a Liberal Date Auction. Come bid on guys and girls from schools all over the state at 8 p.m. in Weinstein Auditorium, Wright Hall. Admission is free, but bring money so you can bid. Poet Rachel Hadas to Read at Amherst

The poet Rachel Hadas will be reading from her work on Thursday, February 17, at 8 p.m. in Fayerweather 117 at Amherst College. Hadas has authored more than 15 books of poetry, essays and translations, and is the Board of Governors Professor of English at the Newark campus of Rutgers University, where she has taught for more than two decades. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

Cromwell Grandson to Exhibit Film

On Tuesday, February 15, Anthony Cromwell Hill, grand-nephew of Otelia Cromwell, will show his film "Return to Glory" in conjunction with the Augustus Saint-Gaudens exhibit at the Smith College Museum of Art. The viewing will be at 5 p.m. in Graham Auditorium, Hillyer Hall.



Mount Holyoke Hosts Lecture on Arab American Community

On Monday, February 14, at 4:30 p.m., Lucinda Kidder, a Five College Women's Studies Research Associate from Rutgers University, will give a talk entitled "Gender, Identity and Performance in the 21st Century Arab American Community." The lecture will be held at the Five College Women's Studies Research Center at 83 College St. on the Mount Holyoke College campus. The event is free and open to the public.
