In our own Northampton, at 7 Strong Ave., there is a little slice of Louisiana called Smokin' Lil's BBQ. A bar and grill that is family friendly, Smokin' Lil's is a casual place with low lighting and red chili lights, red booths and chair coverings, and an indoor cactus window garden.

Every year at Smith I dream of a clean room. Before arriving, I devise a system to keep myself organized. This usually involves a trip to Staples, where I select items like storage bins, desk drawer organizers, sticky notes, and containers to hold pencils, folders, and other extraneous clutter that inevitably monopolizes horizontal surfaces.

I was once a waitress in a fairly seedy diner on the West Coast. The hours were too long and the customers were annoying, but the money was good enough, so I stuck with it.
